Resident Rights and Responsibilities

George Derby Centre is committed to promoting the independence, safety and well-being of all residents and recognizes that each resident has rights and responsibilities as a citizen of this community. Management and staff shall respect the residents’ rights and outline their responsibilities in a spirit of mutual respect.

In exercising their rights, residents must recognize that they are part of a unique community and that staff have the responsibility for promoting the safety and comfort of all residents.

George Derby Centre’s policy statement is in compliance with the Resident’s Bill of Rights (PDF) of the British Columbia Ministry of Health.
